Supporting Your Healing Journey
At Arbutus Health and Wellness, we believe healing begins with understanding the whole person. During your initial appointment, we’ll dedicate time to learn about your past experiences and injuries, as well as your current lifestyle, nutrition habits, and movement practices before suggesting specific treatments.
Because every body is different, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to care. We’ll look at the whole picture and get to know your wellness goals to better understand what may be affecting your ability to heal. From there, we can identify the support your body needs.
Together, we'll create a personalized care approach that meets you where you are and gives you the tools to support your health and healing along the way.
Our Services

The Treatment:
Gentle adjustments involve applying gentle, controlled pressure to specific areas of the spine and joints. Dr. Sarah assesses each area’s movement with her hands and makes precise adjustments to help restore normal function.
Gentle adjustment techniques include:
Activator Method – using a small, hand-held device to deliver quick, low-force pulses to targeted areas.
Sacro Occupational Technique (SOC) – using cushioned blocks and gravity to realign the sacrum (base of the spine) with the occiput (base of the skull).
Flexion Distraction – using a moving table to stretch and decompress the spine.
How it Helps:
Restoring healthy movement can reduce physical stress on the body, support nervous system function, and create a better environment for the body to adapt, recover, and heal.

The Treatment:
Soft tissue work uses hands-on techniques to address muscles, fascia, and other soft tissues that may be tight, restricted, or under strain. Dr. Sarah works with the body's tissues to improve mobility and help release areas of tension.
How it helps:
Healthy soft tissue function allows the body to move more freely and comfortably. By addressing areas of restriction and tension, soft tissue work can support circulation, mobility, nervous system regulation, and the body's natural ability to recover.

The Treatment:
NET is a mind-body approach that explores how unresolved emotional experiences may be reflected in the body's physical responses. Through gentle muscle testing and specific physical techniques, Dr. Sarah works with you to identify and address patterns of stress that may be affecting your nervous system.
How it helps:
The nervous system plays an important role in the body’s ability to self-regulate. By helping the nervous system recognize and unblock stress patterns, NET is intended to support greater regulation and resilience, creating space for the body to return to a more balanced state.
